Added Extrude 100 mm to Move menu for aid with extruder calibration.Power outage recovery can be enabled/disabled in tune menu.Increased the number of sorted files to 50.Preview works in DWIN and DACAI screens (selected automatically, S1 F4 preview supports only DACAI screens in the precompiled firmware, some DACAI screens may need a firmware update). Now, we can sample at 96 kHz 24 bit with the latest MPCs, so yeah, SSD recording is definitely important if you're making hi-fidelity, quality music with vocals and external instruments.Boreal Spring 2023 What's new in this release The 5000's real weakness is the fact that it only samples at 44 kHz, 16bit. Now, new LCDs are available so that problem is gone and mods are doable I have a WD black 1TB in mine. The 5000 was an easy target for whiners because it had LCD issues in addition to its 'imperfect' timing. Did the musicians who made the music we sample have perfect timing? No they didn't, and we prefer it that way. On a side note- the weakness of the 5000 isn't its sequencer- that's the excuse wack beat noodlers use because they don't have the skills to make good music. There's also track and mixer automation with faders and q-links for gain/fades and panning- all for the audio tracks. The tracks can be muted as well- separate from pad-based track mutes. The audio track waveforms can be viewed separately for editing or as 8 stacked tracks (like a DAW) at once and effects can be added from 4 FX busses. The 5000 records 8 audio tracks directly to disk (no reboots required or setting samples to RAM or disk like the Force), freeing up RAM for samples. Folks keep asking for disk streaming, but I don't think half of them even know how its used or what its for,I got an MPC 5000 (since 2008), so I know exactly how useful disk recording/streaming is for actual song-writing.
